Celebrating 20 Years
This year is the 20th Anniversary of Stepping Stones.
In June we had a party to celebrate. It was held at
Parkside School and all the students and staff were there as
well as parents, carers and lots of friends.
The Garden was decorated with all the lovely things we
had made in our craft lessons.
We had made giant coloured wool balls, bunting and
colourful paper lanterns, which were my idea.
I liked the jazz band who were playing on stage. The party was
opened by Roy Waller from BBC Radio Norfolk. The room was
full of photos of all of us from the old days and some more
recent ones. To eat
we had hog roast and we had a special cake in the shape
of 5 stepping stones with the words ‘1989 to 2009 Stepping
Stones Celebrating 20 Years’.
When we left we got a box of sweets and
a special
anniversary newsletter. We had all decorated different boxes and
they looked really nice and colourful.
